A native of Valparaíso, is a visual artist who works in multiple areas: objects, installations and painting. While mosltly focused on painting in recent times, he has built an alter ego called Kvadriman, who with the use of geometric figures invites the public on a journey through fantastic dimensions.”I consider myself an image builder”.
In addition to visual arts, I am very interested in architecture and design. This moment of street art, of urban art, of a new post-digital iconography seems fascinating to me because there’s freedom of expression, without preconceptions, not necessarily with the support of the academy, but without such prejudgment; at the same time very free, and the condition of permanent traveler, of nomad between countries also represents me.
STATEMENT
The painting, the beginning of the visual adventure. Lines, shapes and colors. Tools from which the image is constructed, allowing the work to arise.
An image slowly anchoring in the visible structure of the painting, layer by layer.
Thus, giving space to a proposal an idea, a figure, a utopia; creating a corpus, a visual weight. Making color substantial, to fittingly contain the narrative of the message. Supporting the geometric and figurative language set forth by the artist. Painter of images, abstract fragments and figurative spaces. Creator of polygons, squares, truncated triangles, prisms and rectangles. Forgetting the support at times, to become fascinated by the strength of the powerfull and illusory image. “ A case of a ghastly leveded vessel”. Symbol of fantastic stories. Of ships and marine constructions grounded onto a desert of concrete. Below and above the sea. Splitting the seam between two blue bodies cutting sea and sky. Colorful multifaceted and infinite levels. Between the Pacific, Atlantic and Meditterranean ocean. Bahía Utópica.
